Measurement and assessment of ground-borne vibration

The meeting will take place as usual on zoom. However, the POSK office will be open that day, so if you want to meet our team in person, we encourage you to join us. We will welcome you with a glass of wine.

Our guest Tom Brodowski will give a presentation on “Measurement and assessment of ground-borne vibration” with respect to the integrity of the building structures, and also with respect to human perception and comfort.

Tom Brodowski graduated from the Polytechnic of Wales in Civil Engineering in 1983. Subsequently, he worked for several major engineering companies (Sir Bruce White, Wolfe Barry & Partners, Sir William Halcrow and Partners & Halcrow-Ewbank) and a small company (J.H.A Crockett & Associates) which specialised in civil engineering dynamics and in the assessment of the damage caused by vibrations to historic buildings before setting up his own consultancy Noise & Vibration Engineering Ltd in 1989 which still exists, but as a sole trader.
